Forged Liquor License Leads to Arrest

On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, a joint New York Police Department and State Liquor Authority investigation culminated with the arrest and charging of Ms. Ann Buvidas, former bookkeeper of Tres Amici Inc, doing business as “La Bella Vita”, at 106-09 Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park, for forging a New York State liquor license. The forged license was discovered during a SLA investigation on November 11, 2013, where SLA Investigators discovered an altered copy for La Bella Vita’s license, which expired on September 12, 2012, with an altered expiration date of September 30 2014. Ms. Buvidas was arrested and charged with Forgery in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Falsification of Business Records, all felonies.
