On June 17, 2016, Commissioner Greeley T. Ford was unanimously confirmed by New York State Senate as Commissioner of the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA). Commissioner Ford comes to the SLA with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Commissioner Ford began his career as one of the original staffers at Cellular One and currently serves as Senior Network Consulting Engineer for AT&T, part of the management team responsible for the design of wireless infrastructure all across Upstate New York and parts of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ford, a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University with a degree in Speech Communications and Dramatic Arts, previously served as a Communications Director within the New York State Senate. Mr. Ford’s active community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Stanley Theater in Utica and previously serving as a member of the Oneida County Board of Ethics. Mr. Ford is also a professional musician, having performed or toured with national acts like the Beach Boys, the Kinks, Earth Wind and Fire, KC & the Sunshine Band amongst others and is the band leader and bass player for “Classified” in Central New York, voted number one band in the area in previous polls. Mr. Ford lives in Camden, NY with his wife and youngest son.
