Advisory - Duration of Wine Licenses

At the August 29, 2012 Full Board Meeting, the Members of the Authority approved a change in the duration of licenses issued for the manufacture and sale of wine. Currently all such licenses must be renewed every year. Effective January 1, 2013, on-premises wine licenses will be issued for two years. All other wine licenses will be issued for three years. For more information about these changes, please see Advisory 2012-6.

Please note that the changes will apply to all renewals of licenses expiring on or after January 1, 2013, as those licenses come up for renewal. The changes will not apply to applications for new wine licensees filed before January 1, 2013, even if the license is issued after January 1, 2013. The changes will not apply to those licensees until the first renewal. The changes will apply to applications for new wine licenses filed on or after January 1, 2013.
