SLA CONDUCTS CAPITAL DISTRICT UNDERAGE SWEEP

The New York State Liquor Authority recently concluded the largest underage sting operation ever conducted in the capital district. SLA investigators sent underage volunteer decoys into 108 licensed groceries and liquor stores in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady Counties. In total, the decoys were able to purchase alcohol at 23 of the premises, including 5 of 34 stores in Albany, 3 of 28 in Rensselaer, 15 of 46 stores in Schenectady. The underage sting was conducted from September 21 through September 23, 2011.
